October is the point in the season where the calendar gets crowded. A short international stretch comes first, then four straight Premier League matchweeks with nothing in between. If you plan to register with bet9ja promo code YOHAIG in October, the code you want is YOHAIG.

What you get for entering the code

Type YOHAIG into that box and the account is flagged for the welcome offer, worth up to ₦100,000 depending on your first deposit. The first week belongs to the national teams

The Nations League plays two more rounds from the 1st to the 6th, and the clubs sit out until after that. Nigeria close their own window with a friendly away to Russia at the Nizhny Novgorod Stadium on Tuesday 6 October. The kick-off time was still unannounced when this went up, Dominic Bousquet so confirm it before you stake.

What the Premier League gives you this month

League football resumes on Saturday 10 October. Arsenal host Leeds United in the lunchtime slot, Manchester United meet Tottenham Hotspur that evening, and Liverpool against Manchester City follows at Anfield on the Sunday afternoon. The following weekend brings Everton against Chelsea, Newcastle United hosting Aston Villa, and Nottingham Forest versus Arsenal on the Sunday evening.

Matchweek eight starts on Friday 23 October with Ipswich Town versus Nottingham Forest and peaks with Chelsea against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday evening. The month closes on Saturday 31 October with Chelsea against Manchester United at lunchtime and Aston Villa hosting Fulham under the lights.

One thing hanging over the month: Manchester City have reportedly been found guilty on almost all of the 115 charges brought against them. What the punishment looks like was still unknown at the time of writing. Any sanction announced mid-season would shift the outright markets sharply, so check the latest before committing to a season-long position.

A timing note worth more than most tips

The United Kingdom returns to GMT on Sunday 25 October while Nigerian time stays where it is. Through to the 24th the two clocks match exactly. From the 25th you add an hour, so a 15:00 English kick-off is 16:00 Nigerian time.
